Licensing Guidelines for Practitioners

As a practitioner licensed by the Sound Healing, Vibrational and Sonotherapy Association (SHVSA), you are entrusted with the profound responsibility of preserving the art and science of sound healing. Our guidelines are designed to ensure that your practice is grounded in authenticity, ethical standards, and a deep respect for ancient traditions. By adhering to these guidelines, you not only safeguard the integrity of your work but also contribute to the global community of sound healers dedicated to making a positive impact through sound therapy.

1. License Requirements

• Practitioners must be certified by a SHVSA-approved school. The licensing process ensures that each practitioner has undergone rigorous training in sound healing according to the levels outlined in the SHVSA curriculum.

• The licensing fee for practitioners is $99, which covers operational costs and helps maintain the integrity of the certification process.

2. Scope of Practice

• Level 1 Licensed Practitioners: May perform chakra healing, aura cleansing, and group sound baths using authentic, handmade Tibetan singing bowls. These practices must adhere strictly to the techniques and principles taught in Level 1 of the curriculum.

• Level 2 Licensed Practitioners: May offer private sound healing therapies, including chakra sound baths, and use a broader range of sound healing instruments such as gongs, Tingsha, Vajra, Dorjee, Tibetan bells, Zen chimes, and rain sticks. They may also incorporate aromatherapy into their sessions.

• Level 3 Licensed Practitioners: May address specific issues such as stress and anxiety, integrating advanced techniques like meditation, breathwork, crystals, yoga nidra, yoga asana, mantra chanting, and kirtan into their sound healing sessions.

• Level 4 Licensed Practitioners: May use tuning fork vibrational therapy to treat specific concerns and disorders. They are also authorized to incorporate these therapies into broader wellness practices, such as Reiki and other energy healing modalities.

3. Ethical Practice

• Practitioners are required to practice only the therapies and techniques for which they are certified. Any deviation from the approved curriculum or use of unauthorized techniques is strictly prohibited.

• Practitioners must uphold the highest standards of professionalism, including maintaining client confidentiality, providing safe and respectful treatment, and continuously updating their knowledge and skills in sound healing.

4. License Renewal

• Practitioner licenses are valid for one year and automatically renew at the same price of $99. Practitioners must ensure they remain in good standing with SHVSA to maintain their license.

5. Application Process

• To become a SHVSA Licensed Sound and Vibrational Healing Practitioner, fill out the form below and follow the instructions displayed on form completion. Once we have verified all the information and approved your application, someone from our team will reach out to you for the next steps.

Note: SHVSA or any SHVSA team member will not ask you to pay the fees before the approval of your credentials. You will only have to pay the fees once your credential is verified.
